As a former avoidant, I can tell you, we will never come back to someone who we actually really loved. The shame of having hurt that person and the fear that they may reject us is too strong. We keep coming back to those we know will be there ...its less risky.

when he pulled away this last time, it was stronger than ever after two months of trying to suppress myself for him. I finally chose to choose myself after him telling me countless times that he just doesn’t have time for me no more and he needs to focus on himself his kids and that’s it. He said call selfish I don’t care so then I finally blocked him. I forgot about TikTok and he sent me a message saying if you’re gonna block me, you blocked me on everything and stand on it cause I don’t wanna see your effing face. We have to set boundaries for ourselves when someone shows you they can’t be the one you need and they choose not to be three weeks of not seeing each other an excuse as why he can’t see me two months of not saying I love you it comes a time where we choose ourselves.

we’re both avoidant. we both discard and come back. we’re at a point where we do it silently now. i might wake up blocked then months later im unblocked. times we both block then unblock each other and the whole time we haven’t spoke in months. just something that triggers us to do so? idk 😂

I left her this time. 4 months and I was begging for quality time. I dated an avoidant before and told myself, I’m not playing that game. Gave her several chances to reciprocate. I’m 37 don’t have time for unhealed trauma.

Mine disappeared for 60 days, came back, didappeared for 50, came back, didappeared for 40 came back, she disappeared a couple weeks ago but even tho its tough i understand that she needs space to process things and that is okay. She is trying even when its hard, and she is getting safer every time. Slowly but surely we will get through it together
