Btw context, movie is Jarhead and this is during the Gulf war and it's practically raining oil because when Saddam and his forces retreated from Kuwait, they blew up and destroyed oil wells, making giant burning lakes of burning oil, it was so hot that even when they did get the fires out that they would spontaneously combust again. Getting this burning and boiling oil in your eyes was practically a one way ticket to blindness and good luck getting ANY help from the VA, they denied thousands of cases that were caused by this very thing saying "Not service related"
