im pretty sure this doesn't work. As the stack resolves, you're skipping the SAME turn (your next one) 1000 times. it would need an X value of turns or something like, "if your turn is already skipped, skip the next turn instead," in order to work. cool idea though.

I had somebody play this while they had platinum angel out. While they were phased away for the next 5000 turns I had 43 life at the beginning of my turn as well as felidar sovereign. Get rekt.

The affect is "skip your NEXT turn." so whether you pay it once or a million times it would only affect that "next" turn. This means all of them would be done at the same time.

In response, everyone else can do the same, and skip their next 1,000 turns also. This works if you do it on your turn with grand abolisher on the field.

you need to have an effect that makes it so opponents cant activate abilities during your turn like grand abolished because otherwise everyone can respond to you skipping 1000 turns and skip theirs as well

Then the other players win via Thassas Oracle, or damage cant be prevented and Commander damage, or making you deck out with mill/discard cards. Or another one of the thousands ways to win without making you lose life points at all.

You need grand abolisher in. In respond they will activate 1000 times vapor so they will meet you in 1000 turns

Probably couldn't stop them from choosing 1000 turns, but if both opponents agree to the same cost they can sit there saying "then I'll skip my next turn in response" 1000 times while staring at player

I don’t get how this works. Teferi’s Protection say until your next turn so the enchantment would stay on the field but then it’ll go away once it hits your turn again so theoretically, you can’t really do this 1,000 times

wouldn't teferi's protection stop lethal vapors from affecting you. it has to resolve first and give protection from everything. so wouldnt your own black enchantments ability not be able to target you? I know its an older card but it "targets" you and you can be targeted by anything, so....

So even though you have protection from damage, you can still accure commander damage while being phased out so even if you’re phased out for 1000 turns as long as someone does enough commander damage to you even though you have prevented all damage you only need 21
