@reinalum: I've been to many round table sessions (both corporate & government) on this issue and one thing is clear, if this is the effects of social media on adults, what are the long term effects on our minors? My heart goes out to Pugun and it's sad to see all the issues we've been talking about play out irl. This has always been a complex issue.. 1. Socmed is designed to be addictive, but if your work depends on it too, boundary lines are blurred real fast. 2. There's a real rising issue of rot in society. From the red pill movement all the way to wars fueled by maniacs, all for us to consume and feel helpless to do anything about it. All of this impacts society whether you like it or not. 3. It's easy to put on our anonymous 'mask' and vent our frustration onto strangers on the Internet. And if anything happens as a direct result of your words, oddly the sense of responsibility of what you say or do is almost non existent. A phenomenon not experienced before socmed. We as a society were never thought how to handle technology. Not from our parents, institutions nor the companies that push it onto us. Maybe it's time we have a more structured approach to 'tech education'.
