My mom was born and raised in drumcondra in Dublin. She moved to Alaska in the 1970’s. I’ve been to Ireland twice. We lived there in skerries with my uncle for 6 months. And I got to go again when I was 16. It’s always been one of those places I’ve felt overwhelmingly homesick for. And I know my mom misses home too. She’s 78 now. I hope we get to go back before the end. It’s the most beautiful place on earth.
