It’s definitely a subjective thing from person to person… tattoos just feel kind of uncomfortable for me and i’m really okay with being uncomfortable

my problem is not pain from the tattoo but pain in my back from sitting. is it rude to ask the artist if I can take a break and stand occasionally even if its only a 2 hour session?

Yes yes yes😩 felt like I was dying during my second session of my full sleeve. Lord does shading hurt when it’s been 6hrs😂

All tattoos hurt, but American traditional are the most painful due to bold outlines and color packed. One of the reasons that they age well, do not need touch ups, and are iconic.👍🏻

Arm, topppp end of bicep close to armpit is more unpleasant than anywhere else, i thought elbow was gonna hurt i was well panicked about that, but my tattooist is actually really gentle and it just felt buzzy on my elbow but doing the top of bicep near the armpit was zinging me proper!!

Yep all tattoos hurt will hurt to a certain degree ! Pain tolerance, placement , how big or small , etc (: I absolutely love getting tattoos ! Shading is more satisfying to me . So far I have my inner arm , (small quote in both hands) and I just got my bottom leg done few weeks ago . And so far the only spot I won’t do is my spine (not trying to relive the epi and spinal feeling all over again)😅 but one thing I didn’t know is if you get your back done , depending where the spot is you won’t be able to get a epi or spinal when having kids .

How I like to tell people when they ask me that is I say “It’s a needle going into your skin it’s at LEAST gonna be uncomfortable. Pain tolerance, size, where it’s placed etc a lot goes into if it hurts for people.” I can sit for hours on big stuff but my fine line stuff hurt worse 😭 other then near my nec

I had a colour tattoo LHS thigh. Not fine line. It was torture and I swear the artist was heavy handedAll my other tattoos are fine line, only hurt like you said when the skin was thinner, inner arms for example.

bro ur longing it out. yes they do hurt it feels like being scratched by a cat but it also depends where u get it aswell. the placement affects the pain level
