i disagree with this because saying you should never speak up or “teach” your partner anything sounds strong but it actually just creates confusion and unnecessary problems, no one is born already knowing your exact needs, your standards, or what makes you feel valued, so expecting someone to just figure it out on their own without any communication is unrealistic and unfair, it turns the relationship into guessing instead of understanding, and that’s where frustration starts, it’s not about raising someone or teaching them how to be your man, it’s about being clear, setting boundaries, and giving each other a real chance to meet halfway, because even if someone genuinely cares they can still miss things if nothing is said, and silence doesn’t prove standards or self respect, it just builds distance, misinterpretation, and resentment over time, plus people come from different backgrounds and express love differently so what feels like “basic” to you might not be obvious to them, and if you shut down communication completely you’re not protecting your peace, you’re blocking growth, because healthy relationships actually rely on both people being open, adjusting, and putting effort, not expecting perfection without guidance, so refusing to say anything at all doesn’t make you high value, it just makes the connection weaker and more likely to fall apart even if the feelings are real
