I’m in a season where time is limited, my attention and energy are split, and progress feels slow. Instead of trying to do more, I’ve been focusing on making everyday moments feel more meaningful without spending money: 1. I say no to things I don’t want to do. Protecting my time = protecting my peace. Choosing yourself will always be romantic. 2. I make coffee & matcha at home. I make it feel like a ritual by slow sipping from my favorite mug with Sam Cooke or Etta James playing in the background. 3. I romanticize managing our money. Finances can be stressful. I learned in my late 20s that it doesn’t need to be! I light a candle, play music, and review our budget. 4. We cook at home every day. I plate our meals like we’re at a restaurant. Food tastes so much better when it’s 1) beautiful, 2) prepared with intention, and 3) shared :) 5. I turn everyday moments w/ my kids into *memory-making scenes.* We take our blankets outside, snuggle up on the tree swing, and read our fav books. We have dance parties in our living room. We build forts, crawl inside with a flashlight and pretend like we’re camping. This costs nothing but makes our life feel so full!! 6. I don’t wait for *special occasions.* I used to think certain things had to be ‘saved’ for weekends, date nights, and holidays. Now I try to treat ordinary days like they’re Friday nights. You don’t need more time or money to feel happy or fulfilled. A little intention goes a lonnng way. My days are busy and chaotic as a sahm so I don’t try to romanticize everything, every day. I just pick 2-3 things and do them a few times each week. The biggest life hack: instead of adding more to your plate, start shifting how ordinary moments feel.
