I want to do it myself. dealerships don't tighten to specs. they use impact wrenches. I don't trust them at all.

Why would you loosen the bleeder screw to remove old brake fluid? That’s unnecessary! If you don’t replacing brake fluid every 3 years or 36k miles then your fluid will be dirty. Otherwise you’re just fine to push that fluid back in to the system.

When I had my Jetta. I brought my own power stop drilled x slotted rotors with ceramics... Was like 300 for the kit. Mechanic still charged 800 for all 4 wheels.

You saying the expensive tools are one time use/disposable? its not 1 time your gonna replace brake pads except you expire 1st than your car. Also you can use fhose tools for other repair, its called investment.... 400 is only for front or back not for both....
