@tarakeeney: PLEASE READ BELOW 👇😭 The best conversations in life happen with strangers. I was working in Pret when this man asked to share my table 🥲 At first I was slightly offish. I didn’t mean to be. I was deep in work and he was kinda getting mustard everywhere. But then I thought - he clearly wants to chat. And I’m not saving lives. So let’s chat. We ended up talking for over an hour. He had the most incredible career - opening retail fashion boutiques across the UK in the 70s called Snob. (Anyone remember?! 👀) He was extremely witty, inquisitive and kind. I’m building my page on this belief - everyone I sit down with started as a stranger. Every conversation, even when I don’t realise it at the time, is leading me somewhere. Teaching me something. I’m always learning. Even when I think I’m not. Which is why I love what I do. The lesson: The best things in life come from saying yes to things where you can’t see the gain upfront. If you’re always asking “what will I get out of this?” - you’ll miss everything. Say yes more. Even when you don’t know why.
