@djd1994: Men lack empathy… or have we just been conditioned to suppress it? Watching that conversation with Michael Beasley, it felt like something was missing, not logic, not perspective… empathy. And that’s the real issue. A lot of men are taught to analyze, fix, and challenge… but not to feel or understand what someone is going through. So when someone opens up, instead of meeting them with empathy, we meet them with solutions or judgment. That’s not strength. That’s emotional disconnect. Real masculinity isn’t just discipline and toughness… it’s knowing when to listen, when to understand, and when to simply be present. Until men learn that, these conversations will keep missing the mark. #MensMen#MensMentalHealthn#EmotionalIntelligencei#MasculinityRedefinedy#EmpathyMatterslBeasley

He respected his wishes. It was established beforehand that if he cries, to continue and not being attention to it. I know people think everyone want people to coddle them, some people actually don’t. He didn’t degrade him for his emotions. He provided a space that he could be free to navigate his emotions without being forced into a conversation he didn’t want to have.

Helping someone how you feel like helping them isn’t help. Beasley wasn’t comfortable losing his composure and breaking down in front of sharpe probably bc they aren’t that close. He asked sharpe to act like he doesn’t see him crying and to keep going. Sharpe respected that and did as asked
