I think the main inconsistency is that the aether is in stone form and it was in liquid form in jane so how did steveput that back, power stone was still in the orb but steve didnt go back w the orb so

This doesnt seem like an inconsistency to me, They dont have to bring her back cus changing the past wont change the present, but the infinity stones just need to go back to keep the timeline safe, not to prevent them from branching, they branched off the second the avengers travelled back in time

The infinity stones control the flow of time and stability of each timeline. They explain in the movie time is not linear each timeline Is its own universe. With that being said, the war is just moving from one universe to another, not coming from a time before if that makes sense.
