Blade and Bath is a one-man Depressive Suicidal Black Metal (DSBM) project with strong shoegaze and blackgaze influences, created by Denis Nidzelskiy (also known as Denis). The project was founded in 2021 in Kropyvnytskyi, Ukraine. Denis handles everything himself — all instruments, vocals, lyrics, and artwork. Like many DSBM artists, he keeps his personal life quite private, but his music feels deeply personal and raw. Early Days and Debut Blade and Bath started releasing music in late 2021 with the EP Unsuccessful Attempts to Die. In March 2022, he dropped his debut full-length album Euphoria of Self-Destruction. Life Changes and Current Status Denis originally started the project in Ukraine but later moved to Canada. The project faced some struggles, and there was even a short disbandment announcement in December 2024. However, he returned in 2026 with new music, showing the drive to keep creating despite everything. Fans praise Blade and Bath as one of the strongest modern DSBM acts — some even call it "the greatest in modern DSBM history" for its emotional depth and consistency.
