What are the benefits of planting nasturtium (I hope I spelled that correctly) next to tomato plants? I've heard about companion planting but don't know much about it. I tried planting nasturtium with cucumbers/squash and the nasturtium grew so much more vigorously, that they overtook the cucumbers/squash. Thank you for teaching me.

How far apart should you plant something and something else that you are using as a trap crop (like radish and spinach for example)?

I don’t utilize companion planting. I use neem oil to keep everything looking good.

I need to plant some of those with my tomatoes next year! Right now my bed is crammed with tomato plants. I live in Las Vegas where they need shade, so I plant two in the same spot and thin branches as needed. We're arid so fungus isn't much of an issue.

My nasturtiums are monsters for attracting bugs, but then those bugs spread all over the entire plant and takeout everything around it. Any tips?

I was told to put trap plants away from crops. And deterrent companion plants close by?

I have nasturtium in every single garden bed in my yard and it’s done on purpose I’m in zone 5 so the seeds do not survive winters here except in a compost pile

Nasturtium will draw pest and eat the leaves. Aphids loves them. Also it deters Deers. Deers hate them and will not go near them. one of advantages
