I needed to hear this. Thank you. A friend gave me feedback that really rocked my world. After talking to other friends it sounds like she was projecting. I need to hold steady in my self concept and esteem.

How can you balance having good self esteem/strong sense of self but also being self aware and taking genuinely true feedback

I tend to mirror everything. If I watch a movie, I mirror my favorite character. If I talk to someone new, I mirror them. If I'm spending so much time with a certain person, I mirror them, talk the way they talk, so I've noticed that in my 19 years of life I've never really had a personality of my own. It always changes depending on my environment. does it have smth to with low sense self ?

Is there a paper/study/book that you acquired this knowledge from or is this knowledge accumulated over a period of time? I would love to read up on this!

📌Several things you can do: 1. Spend 15 mins daily envisioning your best FUTURE self ✨ (personal and professional contexts) - anchors your identity in internal goals rather than external feedbacks 2. Identify your top 5 CORE VALUES 🤍 - acts as a neural buffer against social threats 3. Draw a circle ⭕️representing you and list yr different roles in life (friend, partner etc.) then list 3 unique qualities you bring to each role

a lot of this is basically knowing who you are and how you show up in various pillars of life. it's about knowing what you need in each of those pillars/roles, why you need them, how you emotionally respond to it etc.. it's a very intentional process of truly knowing yourself instead of chaotically jumping through experiences

For me the issue was this. I needed to hear this. Thank you. A friend gave me feedback that really rocked my world. After talking to others it sounds like thought the same. I need to hold steady in my self concept and esteem. They blocked me and I know start removed myself. They labeled me argumentative for asking for clarification or explaining. I told my coach and she was like explain is trauma response does not mean your aruging and am sorry they labeled you that.

The day I understood that it's not shameful if I'm not ashamed ✨ The change that occurs in my brain during that one situation, powerful!

This is such a niche topic to hold knowledge in yet so significant to everyday life and to be so versed in this is extremely impressive. Thank you for sharing.
