@eatswithally: Red wine braised short ribs 🍷✨ the perfect hearty Sunday dinner! Ingredients: - boneless or bone-in beef short ribs - salt & pepper - olive oil - onion - carrots - celery - garlic - 1 tbsp @Cento tomato paste - 1 cup dry red wine - beef broth, enough to cover ribs in pot - fresh herbs (thyme, oregano, rosemary) Instructions: - pat dry and season both sides of ribs with salt & pepper - heat olive oil over medium-high heat in a dutch oven and sear both sides of ribs until brown crust forms, remove from pan - add onion, carrots, celery, and garlic to pan, and sauté until fragrant - mix in tomato paste - deglaze the pan with red wine then add ribs back to pan - pour in beef broth until ribs are fully covered, then toss in fresh herbs - cover and place in the oven at 350°F for about 2 hours - serve over mashed potatoes #sundaydinner #comfortfood #easydinnerideas #dinnerrecipes #shortribs

Can you do chicken and dumplings? My mom used to make it and it wasn’t really dumplings. It was like potatoes, but it was called dumplings.. just wondered if you know how to do it ? My mom has passed so I can’t ask her. This short rib recipe looks fantastic.

Yum yummy. Tip. If you flour the beef first ( I cut a pot roast in the same size pieces) and sear the same way the gravy comes out richer (not as thin).

I I start off browning bacon before browning the ribs and the vegetables and add an entire bottle of red wine. While it’s finishing up, I sauté whole button mushrooms in a lot of garlic and butter and then add those to the ribs and finish cooking them.
