For the avocado you do not need to poke it with toothpicks, just soak seed in water for an hour peel skin then wrap with damp paper towel and put it in a dark cabinet and wait a few weeks for sprout then you can put it root side down in the water. I have a few of those and they have been growing perfectly

Why is everyone upset/surprised that it takes years to grow fruit trees? Yes, requires love, effort &patience to grow food. I wish gardening was a required longitudinal course in high school. Probably get more out it than math.

I love mangos but I wouldn't want a tree in my yard again. I was raking leaves everyday. plus they grow tall, pass the power lines and trimming is a huge job.

For the majority of these i know you could also grab a container and do the "paper towels method"(look it up on TikTok.) I find that it brings a higher chance of germination. Course the fruit will take a veeeerrryyy long time to actually grow. But that's to be expected.

Do not grow apples from seeds it will not be the same type of apple. apples must be grafted to pass on the same taste size and shape
