اللہ ولوں ایسا اخلاق پایا اے صادق الامین سوہنے لقب پایا اے “The friends of Allah attained such noble character; The Beloved was given the beautiful titles Al-Sadiq and Al-Amin.” Deep Explanation This is not just praising manners — it is describing the source of spiritual perfection in Islam. 1. All sainthood begins with character “The friends of Allah attained such noble character” means the true Awliya (friends of Allah) are not recognized first by miracles, knowledge, or outward piety — but by character. The Qur’an describes the allies of Allah as people of faith and God-consciousness. Their greatness lies in: Humility instead of pride Mercy instead of harshness Truth instead of deception Purity instead of ego Service instead of self-interest This teaches a profound principle: Nearness to Allah is seen in akhlaq (character). A person may pray much, fast much, know much—yet without refined character, spiritual perfection is incomplete. 2. Why mention “Al-Sadiq” and “Al-Amin”? These are not ordinary titles. They point to two foundations of Prophetic perfection in Muhammad: Al-Sadiq — The Truthful Truthfulness in Islam is not merely avoiding lies. It means: truthful speech truthful intention truthful worship truthful love of Allah being inwardly what you appear outwardly This is sidq. The saints inherit this quality. Al-Amin — The Trustworthy This is deeper than keeping deposits safe. It means being trustworthy with: people’s rights secrets responsibilities knowledge the trust of religion itself Even revelation was entrusted to him because he was Al-Amin. 3. The Awliya reflect the Prophet The poem is implying: The friends of Allah have noble character because they inherited it from the Prophet ﷺ. Their beauty is borrowed beauty. Like moons reflecting the sun. The Prophet ﷺ is the source; the saints are reflections. This is why many spiritual scholars say: Wilayah (sainthood) is perfected Sunnah. 4. Character is the highest miracle The verse may also be hinting that the greatest karamah (saintly miracle) is not supernatural wonders— but transformed character. To conquer anger, ego, greed, envy— this is a greater miracle than walking on water. Anyone may impress people. Few conquer the self. 5. Hidden warning in the verse There is also an implicit warning: Do not seek “Allah-wala” status through appearance. The real sign of closeness to Allah is: softer hearts cleaner intentions better treatment of creation Without Prophetic character, claims of spirituality are empty. 6. Deeper Sufi meaning In spiritual language: Al-Sadiq points to purification of the heart. Al-Amin points to perfection of conduct. Together they form the path of those close to Allah. Truthfulness with Allah + trustworthiness with creation = path of sainthood.
