This is based off a real serial killer who haunted korea in real life. There are many shows n movies based on this story. The Scarecrow is a excellent story, well set up and acted.

Yeah, that was my concern too. It’s cliché and I am not into violence against women anymore. That’s why I love Dear X so much, it was refreshing 😜 However, I love thriller mysteries so much I’ll give it a try.

It’s based on a real life case, the scarecrow is fictional, he just stalked women walking alone at night, it was solved very recently through DNA

I can’t shake it but I think the sister sadly becomes one of the victims. I want to say I thought ML said he lost a lot because of the killer. Also so far the mannerisms of the person in prison it’s like they are giving the vibe like ML doesn’t know them but also giving that it’s the crooked bully prosecutor. I kind of hate they are keeping the imprisoned killer and I have to find out who it is. All I’m saying is if that prosecutor is not behind bars at the end of it, I’m definitely not going to like it.

I think the younger brother of the bookstore owner ( fiancée of Tae Joo’s sister) is the killer. As mentioned in the first and third episode, the Killer was in for murder of his sister-in-law. This was also the case for the real life serial killer- Gangseong serial killer whose name is Lee Choon-Jae. So far, characters in the drama with the family name Lee are only the bookstore brothers. They are also the only family with the characters shown of this family dynamic- older brother, sister-in law, and a younger delicate looking brother with delicate girly hands. It was mentioned by the victim that the killer had very delicate soft hands. Also, girls left the bookstore late were also killed, killer knew what path they are about to take home and when they are headed home after bookstore. He might have a problem with girls or women that are overly throwing themselves over men or are out late at night. I noticed the mother was quite shaken and distraught- when Tae Joo’s sister was labeled a mistress, and said things about her mother. That her mother wasn’t always like that etc, might be a story about their father leaving them for a woman who was a bar hostess, and the younger son harbored certain feelings towards women that he deemed promiscuous etc. I looked into the name Lee Yong-Woo, apparently Yong is kind of referring to Scarecrow character in korean- so maybe they are calling him Mr. scarecrow Lee. Since I am not Korean, unsure what exactly the name implies.
