As an American living in Europe who also knows this area. Please don’t try to walk to MetLife from Rutherford. It’s not what you think.

I feel like a lot of people are missing the point! you've said yourself you've walked to different stadiums in the US! so why have they chosen this venue for the final of the World Cup? if it's notoriously bad to get to it doesn't make sense

This stadium is not suitable for walking, so we’ll host the most important international event there! Sounds so logical

the worst part is if you're traveling to the US for this, you mentioned using the train which would be a convenient piece of transportation for tourists, it is usually around $12 but during the world cup it is $150

Our whole group don’t even have a driving licence and the bus is supposed to be 150$, nobody will be paying that. Normally the streets are closed for such big football events and it‘s part of the experience to walk to the stadium

What's the point in hosting the world cup if the fans can't get there? I can just tell there are going to be thousands of empty seats at the games and no atmosphere

I live 20 min away. I’m about to rent a bus and make some money doing round trips at this point.

why are we concerned with people walking and not with the cost of the train to the stadium?

Admittedly (Dutchie here) the distance seems doable, the infrastructure however does not 😂

I’m just laughing about some games being in Houston in June. Ironically, more walkable, but not in June. I’m excited for the news coverage 😆

If I were a pilot flying in and out of Jersey I’d be telling people “and if you are planning on walking from here to the stadium- RECONSIDER. Have a nice day.”

it wouldn't be an issue if instead of $3 theyre now charging $80 per person each way for the bus that goes there. it isnt a special bus, it is always there 😂

Right soldier is the the middle of Chicago, so it is easy to take transportation and then walk from there. MetLife is not built like that

Here is the part I don’t understand. All of the stadium car parking is going to be closed on World Cup match days. So all of the people arriving by road transport - won’t they end up walking the last part of their journey?

Parking is forbidden!!! 😅 And tickets for public transport is limited. Honest question: HOW TO GET THERE THEN, HUH?! 😅

You’re right but they also closed the parking lot because they don’t want tailgating. It’s literally poorly organized.
