There should be an option to include it, for people going from old to new, or if you lost/broke the one you had and want a replacement with your new phone. I’m all for fighting waste, but as someone who still has an iPhone 12 and will be going to the 18 pro this or next year. I would like a usb c charger with my phone.

remove the brick to reduce e waste "because most of the clients already have bricks from older phones" well yes except every new phone has a somewhat different charging mode and to take full advantage and not have your phone charge in god knows how many hours you also need to buy the knew one which would be more expensive and more wastefull than just including it in the first place.

I have never thrown out a charging brick. There is always a use for them (but then I also don’t get a phone every year so I would only be getting a new one every 5 years or so). But it’s so handy to have them in multiple rooms at home, at work, one that lives in the suitcase so I don’t forget to pack it, etc

I believe there was a study about this reduced e-waste, the difference was minuscule, especially the rumor about the byproducts they release into the environment.(please search it manually this was several years ago)

Whats the point when all i then have to do is go on ebay/amazon and buy some, more shipping + drivers and in-fact more cheap chargers being produced because people don’t want to pay the money apple are asking for chargers. I feel its nothing to do with trying to be eco friendly

Everyone has a charger. If you don’t then you can get GaN chargers for $20…. I’ve even charged my MacBook with the 5w iPhone 12 charger. It’s slow but charged it overnight.
