@goodlifegavin: We haven’t even started building the cabin… and we already hit our first problem. Our generator wouldn’t start, which means no power for tools. When you’re building on 17 acres, nothing is easy so we had to run extension cords all the way from the main property just to get started. This is the reality of building a cabin off grid (or close to it). Every step takes extra work, and every small problem turns into a big one fast.
