I feel the dad on this. He let Bam skip school so he can go to the skatepark and achieve his goals. Bam reached his goal of becoming a pro skateboarder but it came at a cost. A cost that Phil wasn’t aware of and now Phil wishes he can take it back.

Phil was a great dad but he didn’t hold his son accountable. He wanted to be liked more than being a dad. You can be loving a great friends, but YOU HAVE TO TEACH YOUR KIDS ACCOUNTABLE! This is the number one thing I teach my kid. We all make mistakes and it’s ok to make mistakes. Everyone is flawed. But how you react and handle mistakes is what being a good man is all about.
