Both are the same anthropomorphic story of the sun… Northern ‘Hemisphere’ winter solstice, December 21st, the sun is at its lowest point on the horizon. It’s there for 3 days or so, then is ‘reborn’ on the 25th and rises… look at a sunset/sunrise over the ocean… the light reflection stretches from the horizon to the shore, that’s the ‘walking on water’ part… it could also be suggested that the ‘3 wise men’ are the 3 stars in Orion’s Belt, giving inspiration to not only the pyramids of Giza but also pyramids in Mexico, China and also an ancient holy place of the Pueblo Indians of America, plus no doubt, others across the earth we haven’t even found yet…!!

Literally none of this is true about Horus. Just ask your favorite AI about these things, it’s all fabricated.

Hate to say this Christian community, but this is actually true. I took over 5 semesters of World Religions in College because I found it so interesting. Just remember, it doesn’t disprove anything about Jesus, as a believer myself. In fact it’s not the only version of the Christ story being replayed in history, it happened more than once. Just remember, they’re all recounting the same person and the same story that you know and love, just from different perspectives and in different ages, but all recalling the same story of the same prophet you love. Don’t let things like this get you. Getting angered so easily is not what Jesus taught us. Just enjoy the mystery, and keep up the Faith. No need to battle online. They’re not wrong about the history here, but that doesn’t disprove anything.

Interesting if Jesus was the second coming. Ether way, I bet it don’t happen a third time , it could I guess but I think he was pretty successful this last time. 🙏

This comparison is one of the more common internet memes about comparative mythology, but most of the claims about Horus are either exaggerated, unsupported, or directly false according to actual Egyptian sources. There are some broad symbolic similarities between religions across history. That part is real. Ancient cultures often reused themes like divine births, resurrection imagery, sacred kingship, or heavenly signs. But the specific “Horus = Jesus” checklist shown here falls apart when examined closely.

That image is mostly false / internet mythology. The real Horus story: Horus was an ancient Egyptian god, usually the son of Isis and Osiris. Osiris was killed by his brother Set, Isis restored/conceived Horus, and Horus later battled Set for the throne of Egypt. The viral “Horus = Jesus” list is not accurate: * Virgin birth: not really. Horus was conceived from Osiris and Isis. * December 25: no solid ancient Egyptian source says Horus was born Dec. 25. * Three wise men/star: not part of the Horus myth. * Baptized at 30 by Anup: no good evidence; “Anup the Baptizer” is not a real Horus story. * 12 disciples: not a standard Horus tradition. * Walked on water / raised El-Azur-Us: not in the original Horus myths. * Crucified and resurrected: Horus was not crucified. The death-and-return story belongs more to Osiris, not Horus, and even that is different from the Jesus story.

Interesting just like there is controversy as to who actually wrote the n/t the dates don't add up plus the many books that where omitted that current date was a date set by the elites to make the average person a slave to the financial system while they lavish in the wealth gained not to mention that they made 13 a curse
