And then there those of us who are in relationships and feel that we are not good enough and are left feeling alone and isolated even though we are with someone. Sometimes i think being single would be a better option.

The New Orleans Civil Defense Control Center is a former underground Cold War-era bunker located in the Lakeview neighborhood of New Orleans, Louisiana. Built and opened in 1962 during the height of the Cold War, the two-story facility was designed to serve as a secure emergency operations center in the event of a nuclear attack or major natural disaster. Its location was strategically positioned along the neutral ground between West End Boulevard and Pontchartrain Boulevard. The underground facility was equipped with specialized communication rooms, radiation monitoring equipment, a briefing room, decontamination showers, medical supplies, and independent backup power systems. These features were intended to allow city officials and law enforcement personnel to coordinate emergency response, rescue, and recovery operations during a major crisis. As emergency management operations evolved, the bunker gradually became obsolete, with its activities winding down during the 1980s. By the mid-1990s, the Civil Defense Control Center had been completely abandoned. Decades of neglect and leaking interior pipes left sections of the underground structure deteriorated and partially flooded, while its entrances were eventually sealed to prevent unauthorized access and address safety concerns. The former bunker has since remained a forgotten remnant of New Orleans’ Cold War history, with discussions over its future including possible preservation or demolition. This content is for historical and educational purposes only and does not encourage entering abandoned properties. #louisiana #usa🇺🇸
