Sometimes I wonder why choosing a dream has to feel so heavy at such a young age. I’m only 16, still learning about life, still figuring out who I am, and yet I already feel pressured to decide my whole future. It’s hard because I don’t want to disappoint my family, but I also don’t want to ignore the passion that makes me genuinely happy. I believe that people can become successful in many different ways, not only through the careers society calls “perfect” or “practical.” Cooking may not seem as important to some people, but for me, it means everything. Cooking is where I feel comfortable expressing myself. It’s where I feel creative, peaceful, and confident. Seeing people enjoy the food I make gives me happiness that is difficult to explain. That feeling made me realize that maybe my dream was never meant to stay the same forever.

Me graduating with a degree in Hospitality Management, now working in the kitchen of a high-end hotel here in Cebu City… and realizing the dream job I once fantasized about is actually exhausting. I’m tired asf.

Culinary is not worth it if you’re here sa philippines hospitality career like us is under appreciated and underpaid first few years will be rough small pay barely enough for you and your family you need long term experience in order to have a high paying job also comes with a lot of sacrifices and missed important events and family matters will always feel wrong if hindi ka nakakapasok parang may mali hehe speaking based on experience hehe

sobrang mahal naman talaga ng culinary school pero mag sumikap at mag tyaga lang tayo guys ako graduate ng Hospitality Management sa PUP walang tuition fee pero ngayon Japanese Cuisine Chef na din sa isang sikat na Hotel dito sa PH hindi ako mayabang gusto ko lang mang inspire ng katulad kong walang kakayahan na mag aral sa Culinary school pero dahil sa pag susumikap at pag tyatyaga narating yung pangarap❤️
