This IS about: Transparency Language Patient understanding When patients hear: "Facial plastic surgeon" Most assume: Plastic surgery residency training That assumption is often incorrect. And that's where confusion begins and despite the safety and excellence of top facial plastic surgeons this allows room for boundary creep. On evaluating results from photos Calling it "irresponsible"'" to assess outcomes from images...is irresponsible. We are trained to evaluate • Standardized photography Light, shadow, contour • Tissue position and support It's how we: Train Teach Get examined it's fundamental On the celebrity discussion This was never about attacking a surgeon I've said clearly: I don't know the surgeon personally I respect his reputation and contributions This is about: Aesthetic philosophy Pattern recognition What patients are seeing and being told Important reality Every surgeon has results they love.. and results they would do differently. That's medicine That's surgery That's honesty.
