The Lithuanian government wanted to reduce alcohol consumption, so they introduced this law, and also, what the girl didn't mention, alcohol is available from 10 a.m. on all days of the week, Mondays and Saturdays until 8 p.m. and on Sundays until 3 p.m.

Its not that crazy. Quite normal laws. In Norway there is only beer and some light alcohol (up to 3.5٪) in normal shops. For anything stronger you have to go to special shop - Vinmonopolet. opening hours 10am-6pm on weekdays and 10am-4pm on saturdays. Closed on sundays.Pretty much same in Sweden (just different shop name, obviously).
