My mom loved trees so much that when I wrote her eulogy, I compared her to a tree 😆 here’s a little snippet. “One of the things my mom loved most was nature, trees especially. She had an undeniable connection to them. She decorated with them, took pictures of them, and even hugged them. We even brought one for her memory table that she used at her home. She would sit beneath them and talk to them. She always said they calmed her, grounded her, and made her feel at peace. And when I think about it, I realize that she was just like a tree, strong, full of life, ever growing and deeply rooted. Her spirit was grounded in compassion, her branches reached out to embrace those around her, and her leaves rustled with laughter and love.” I hope if reincarnation does exist, that my mama chose to be a tree.

if I come back as a tree, make me a willow tree. let my branches and leaves float in the wind and on the water. let children and animals rest under my canopy. let people tell me stories and ask for advice they dont expect to hear. let me be a sanctuary for others who need rest, love, understanding.
