I'd like to clarify a few things. Rather than considering these as individual exercises, it's more accurate to view them as categories of exercises. Each one belongs to the overarching category of compound exercises. This means each exercise involves movement across two or more joints, which guarantees direct targeting of multiple muscle groups. Additionally, all these exercises use free weights, engaging your core and smaller stabilizer muscles. Training these muscles is crucial due to their role in reducing common overuse injuries, such as rotator cuff tears and tendonitis. Here are the four categories of upper body compound movements: Horizontal Pull: Examples include 2-point rows, which I personally prefer, cable rows, inverted TRX rows, and barbell rows. They primarily engage the mid-back muscles and biceps. Vertical Pull: Pull-ups are the most recommended exercise in this category. If you can, aim to achieve at least one pull-up. They focus on the lats, and good shoulder mobility is essential for performing them. Horizontal Push: This is essentially the reverse of a horizontal pull. It primarily targets chest muscles. I'm a fan of push-ups for this category, but bench presses and cable chest presses are also great choices. Vertical Push: Opposite to the vertical pull, these exercises engage the shoulders. Whenever you push anything overhead, you're executing a vertical push.  Btw when I say losing fat in the intro, you need to be in an energy deficit when performing these movements to help you lose fat. Also you cant target fat with exercise, sorry mates.
