The incident involved a 70-year-old man whose liver was mistakenly removed instead of his spleen during a 2024 procedure, causing fatal bleeding. Shaknovksy was taken into custody on April 13 while working as a Lyft driver in Miramar Beach, shocking passengers who were in the car at the time. Police bodycam footage showed officers pulling him over and arresting him mid-ride. Lyft later removed him from the platform. If convicted, he faces up to 15 years in prison.
