@woodberryweddings: Some of the most meaningful moments at a wedding are the ones a couple carries quietly in their hearts long before the day arrives. They wanted their people there. All of them. Their groomsmen walked framed photos of loved ones who had passed down the aisle, placing them on a bench at the ceremony site here at Woodberry — our historic farm wedding venue just outside Tallahassee in Havana, FL. And when the evening moved to the reception, those same faces moved with it — displayed where a meal was shared, where the toasts were given, where the joy was loudest. It was simple yet intentional and one of the most beautiful things we’ve witnessed in our years hosting weddings. If you’re planning an outdoor wedding in the Florida Panhandle and wondering how to honor someone who won’t be there in person — this is one way. There’s no wrong answer. But saving a seat for those who can’t be there is so meaningful. 💛 Save this if it speaks to you, and share it with someone who might need the idea. My father in law carried a photo of my late mother in law, she then sat on the chair next to him so my husband could look out and still see his mom smiling at him on his wedding day. I had my husband carry a rose down the aisle to place in front of his mom’s photo.

this is so beautiful! With my dad i had his picture where he would have sat and a boutonniere and my husbands mum and dad had chairs with a boutonniere and corsage.
I love this....feel more memorable. Actually, now I am thinking more about, instead of a bouquet, i should have had his picture, my husband carry his parents when he walked down
