talk to your hospital! we took a birthing class and found out delayed cord clamping and a lot of other things were actually standard practice 😊

The congestion left my nose literally the minute that baby was born 😂 our nurse reminded holding him for vaccines and I think it totally makes a difference because he calms down so fast.

check with the hospital their normal protocols! i wanted everything you wanted and my hospitals normal protocols were lined up with what i wanted, made birth and postpartum so much less stressful! congrats on your little boy they are the best🤍

I’ve had pregnancy rhinitis my whole pregnancy and I’m convinced it’s one of the absolute worst pregnancy symptoms. Sometimes I would trade it for being in more physical pain just to sleep at night comfortably

I also went into birth thinking I didn’t want baby out of my sight but I was in the hospital for a week after delivery and it was so necessary for the nurses to take him during the night so I could sleep and heal and rest. Also because baby had fluid in his lungs, we could not do delayed clamping because they needed to work on him ASAP. I hope you get all your wants but whatever is best for the baby and you!

Im 4 wks postpartum and the main thing I LOVED that our hospital did was every thing in the room. He never had to leave the room 🥲👏🏼
