I think in the early seasons, all of the voice actors were encouraged to speak softer. I think even Pinkie and AppleJack had softer voices compared to the more distinct voices they eventually developed

She was so introverted and soft spoken, they showed her growth amazingly. She slowly became more confident, and just as she started to become confident they made her a princess which she was not ready for. It was as if she was all the way back at the start. She had to figure out the differences in life that she was given in comparison to her friends and realizing her role in equestria 😭💕
