I have a rule at my job, no surprise teams calls. You message me first and ask for a call? No problem. You randomly call me with no heads up or reason? Not getting answered. Managers have tested this on me several times and I remain polite yet firm on my stance. It's called courtesy.

I don’t answer unannounced calls. I also pretty much always say no if someone asks if I can jump on a call. We can figure this out through chat. They just don’t want to have to think and figure it out themselves
