Here’s the problem with taking the Messiah out of context. He said to the Pharisees that Moses permitted to you to divorce because of your hardness of heart. He was speaking to these hypocritical men who were discarding their wives for any reason they saw fit that’s the truck of the Messiah’s words. He is also making it clear that divorced is a serious issue. You did nothing wrong and the number one thing wrong with so many questions is all they do is spend their time, judging others and very little timeI’m God bless yeah we bless you.

Rather than having an affair, perhaps another loophole you could look at would be eating a Crumbl cookie on Sunday. You would have to plan it ahead of time since crumbl isn’t open on Sunday, but that might be logistically easier than having a whole affair.

what I heard was that you should have invoked the "until death" clause

if it is adultery to marry after divorce and divorce can only be legitimate if there is adultery. The second marriage legitimized the divorce.

when I told my mom that I was divorcing she said, "I don't have any money" (I didn't ask). However, she called and told me that she is happy to pay for an annulment so I could remarry. I told her I would be unalive before ever locking myself in again.

my vows weren't "till death do us part." It was "as long as we both shall live."
Technically it didn't feel like living anymore. Gotcha!

My fiancé’s mom wanted her to get her wedding to her previous husband an adult so that she would be able to marry me in the eyes of God. I’m not religious. She’s not religious and we were brought up in different religions. Joy.

I think I'd let God sort that out in the afterlife. Calling your situation a mortal sin is above my pay grade.

They said the vows were until death and he's not dead. Sounds like a clear solution there, biblically speaking (not advocating it though).
