I haven’t ever done this myself yet, but know someone who uses this strategically and successfully on a regular basis. It requires a lot of knowledge, a personal understanding of one’s own risk tolerance, and a healthy IQ.

so the person selling makes their premium either way. if it falls below the strike price they keep their shares. if it goes above the strike price the shares are sold. the buyer paid the 500 premium and hopes it goes above 300 a share before end of contract cause then they are buying the 100 shares for 300 each but the market shows they are worth 310. the buyer could turn around and sell the 100 shares for 310 and profit 1000?
