I’VE BEEN SAYING THIS. Ducks are superior to chickens. I started with two and now have close to 23. I used to have a runner and he was my absolute baby 🥲

When I had ducks in NC, every time you step in my property (their patrol area), you're suddenly free of ALL the mosquitoes. It's like I had a little dome of protection around my house, it was great!

Geese and runner duck do this so well but I’m here to tell you, Muscovy Ducks don’t care and they will eat the whole plant all the way down to the root lol I have Muscovy’s, Welsh’s, runners, and geese. I have not tried my welshes because they can’t really fly, but they they get some air.. the Muscovy’s. I tried bringing plants into their pen hanging them and everything in one of them was this beautiful strawberry plant that was budding and everything. I mean, they ate that thing down to the stem.

The entertainment value from ducks is hands down a comedy skit. You can throw out the TV and you got HBO in the garden. Homemade pasta with duck eggs are mint!

I promise you DUCK WATER on your plants they will THRIVE. Our grass grew sooo crazy with the pond water

I miss the duck sounds in my yard 🥺 (we had too many predators and it was a heartache. YES WE HAD A GUARDIAN but the guardian got got too 😭🫠)

After having both for a year for the first time… I would choose runners over chickens any day. My chickens are so destructive and demanding lol. My ducks are gentle and don’t seem to damage much when they roam. Maybe take a nap on a hosta once in awhile but that’s about it
