I flew to Shenzhen to witness one of the most inspiring tech events I’ve ever attended — the Huawei ICT Competition 2024-2025 Global Final. Think Olympics — but for AI, coding, cloud, and digital innovation. This wasn’t just about coding. It was a global stage. The competition attracted over 210,000 students and teachers from 2,000+ colleges and universities across 100+ countries and regions to collaborate, compete, and solve real-world problems through technology. And what really hit me? These participants weren’t just showing off their skills — they were building bridges. Across cultures. Across languages. Across continents. One of the standout moments for me? -Interviewing the Grand Prize winner from Singapore — he told me this competition helped him move beyond theory, to building real-world solutions. -I also spoke with a team from Cambodia, where a female contestant shared how the experience shifted her mindset about being a woman in tech — and how much representation really matters. It made me realise: tech isn’t just about tools — it’s about the people using them to shape a better world. It reminded me why I started creating content in the first place — to highlight how tech connects people, inspires change, and creates global impact. Massive thanks to Huawei for letting me be part of this journey and meet the future builders of the digital world. Follow for more AI, tech, and innovation stories from around the world. #ICTCompetition #HuaweiICTCompetition
