I wonder if it’s because you’ve moved back into the house she was used to having her dad in? So she’s a little confused as to why he’s not there all the time maybe? I’m sure she will get used to it! ♥️

I do wonder if it’s because you moved out the family home although she still visited her dad she then knew that as daddy’s house. Now you’ve moved back in but her daddy is gone? I know she’s sees him at his new house but she must have so many questions and probably can’t express them yet bless her heart ❤️

My son (same age as Lily) also became more clingy, especially with me, when we moved (and we are not separated!). I wouldn’t stress too much - it’s most likely just the change to her environment. You are her safety so big changes mean she will lean on you more as she grows in her confidence xx

Stability will help. Have a really set routine that she can count on. Wake up times, bedtimes, bath times, dads visitation times etc. Same everyday. Be “boring”. The consistency will settle any feelings of uncertainty.

It’s very normal for a toddler to become really clingy after moving house, she’s been through it before so understands more that it’s a whole new place to live in and not just visit, so maybe she’s just feeling a bit confused. My son was the same, only lasted a few weeks and then he forgot we ever lived anywhere else lol

Hi El, transistions cause all sorts of emotions and behavioural changes. Attachment is one of those! I would say reading books and talking about feelings is highly beneficial. 'The Colour Monster' is fantastic. As an ex EYT and now teaching Early Years to post 16, I swear by it. I even use it in College with my 16-19 YO students.♥️

No advice, but it might make you feel better about it not necessarily being because of the separation. My little boy is sooo clingy to me and me and his dad are together. No explanation for it just developmental I think!

It’s normal hun with you moving again, it could also be a delayed reaction with the separation. It might be worth having a proper mummy daughter couple of days and making sure she gets so much love 🥰
