“I can’t believe Liberace was gay. Women loved him. I didn’t see that one coming.”

Miss Tiffany :
I was a kid in the 80's. I was 14 when Liberace died. Back then the media and their PR teams would totally lie about their cause of death if it was Aids. One of the first people I knew that died of Aids was back in about 1984 or 1985, he was this sweet gay man who would give me an apple everyday when he saw me coming home from school. It wasn't til about 20 years later that my mom told me he gay and died from Aids. The 80"s were such a sad time in the Aids epidemic because people knew little about it and treated all gay men like they had it and back then it was referred to as the "gay cancer. "

My grandmother loved him. ✨ I really think that causes of natural deaths should be private.

I'm old. I vividly remember L, his brother George and his TV show.
Lib lived during a time when AIDS was rampant and people were more intolerant and less understanding than today. Lib was an INCREADIBLE talent and wonderful person.
VERY SAD, INDEED.

It is really sad that people with AIDS we’re treated so horribly. Everyone around them is more of a risk than they are. AIDS doesn’t kill them, the opportunistic infections that attack their immune system is what kills them.
