The orbicularis oculi wraps around the eye and when the lateral fibers are tight, they drag the tail of the brow down with them. These muscles are chronically overactivated in most people. And over time, that constant downward pull wins against the frontalis, the only muscle lifting your brow up. The result. The brow drops. The upper lid gets heavy. The eye looks smaller and tired.
