Ugh noooo Babs!!! Laundry stripping is exactly 0% more effective than just washing. And you used about 10x the amount of detergent you should use. That detergent is definitely still stuck in the fibers of the comforter and you’ll spend the next 15 washes trying to get it out. Make sure you don’t use detergent the next 15 times you wash it. If you’re not adding detergent and you still see suds in the washer, that means it’s still all up in the item from the last time you washed it.

Machine washable comforters. We have 4 of them. They get changed along with the sheets.
