@lee_olsen: Did you know a trim is different for a horse getting shod versus a horse that is going barefoot? Although the general idea is the same, there are a few important differences! - sole depth: a barefoot trim requires leaving slightly more sole, as the hoof does not have protection from the shoe. - bevel: in a barefoot trim, we leave a small “rim” and bevel the edge to protect the sole, and prevent breakup as growth occurs. “Leave the good and take the bad” 👍🏻 Do you think this trim is for a horse going barefoot, or a horse that is going to be shod? 🔹 Thanks to our amazing partners! @Mustad Hoofcare @platinum.performance @Priefert @resistol1927 @CINCH @teskeysoutdoors @wellshod @equicamtx HORNS 4 HOPE THE WESTERN LEGACY PROJECT 🔹 #hooftrimming #hooftrim #hoofcare #satisfying #asmr
