Exec management always wants one tool, but there's a reason scissors still exist, in a world with chainsaws - it's ok to have multiple tools, just make their authentication work together, and get their data into a single reporting solution.

There needs to be a workaround tracker with a breaking point as part of a project. Once you hit X percent of workarounds, you have to escalate. And governance can’t panic that it’s too far down the track to pull the cord. Workarounds = breakage and brain drain.

I'd never recommend jde from my experiences I just found it to be slow and the the jvms are brutal to use. when I left there 6yrs ago they were still running 32bit jvms. 😬 they'd memory leak all the time and have to be restarted.
