I bought a blackberry plant three years ago on clearance at Lowe’s. It’s been painted planted on my back fence line since Anna has never produced and it is still very small but it’s growing so I would just say be mindful that it takes a really long time it may not be dead.

When buying bare root some tips is to always to look for multiple strong canes and any budding nodes! Also recommend soaking for a few hours before planting

I bought, the same thing and it pretty much has done nothing for about three years, but now about 15 feet away in full sunlight in a wood pile I have an explosion of black berrys in-between stumps I haven't split yet. Roots travel after they get established they can pop up anywhere.

I have natural blackberries and raspberries that grow around my land and they grow only during like april-july so don't be stressed.

I have mine in a box, raspberries in a container. Near the winter you’ll remove the old canes, they’ll be thick and woody. Mine are now 2yr old and are flowering!!! I have mine on a trellis as well

Do NOT plant it in your yard unless you want a blackberry jungle. Keeping it in a large pot will be your best bet

Awe your not supposed to out thing in direct sunlight after transplanting and your supposed to keep the soil moist for roots lol

We run ours on tposts with gardeners Velcro and tip the tops back to the ground so new runners walk in line with our posts . 6 years growing BlackBerrys . We branched out to raspberry’s this yea will be also running them the same since I got a primocane and 2 canes that fruit off second year canes .
