I love that the students honored him by voting him prom king, but that is from the students he saved. There is nothing wrong with them seeing him like that. But we don't need to push the narrative that this is baseline. My husband is a teacher. I know he would do something like this, but at the end of the day I just want him home.

He himself is inspirational and I’m glad he was there but this should not even been in that position in the first place. People are allowed to be happy their kids are okay, but everyone focusing on the guy tackling the gunman and not focusing on an attempted mass shooting is absolutely wild. I just don’t understand how we are STILL dealing with this.

he was also voted prom king. I look at as yeah im glad he saved all those kids but thats not his job he shouldn't have to deal with tackling people

I agree with you. There was a video that I saw and the mom was telling us a story Of her daughter asking what it was like mom’s school if she had to do lockdown drills. I was heartbroken for this young child that has to go through all this .
