Honestly, when I did my presentation in front of about 100 people, I was extremely scared. In order to calm myself down, I just pretended to be calm. I don't know if I gaslighted myself, but I presented pretty smoothly.

i’m pretty extroverted and always tell myself before presentations to not care what other people think and yet i’m still so bad at them - i think i just get in my head about it

I’m EE (sophomore going onto junior) and have two summer internship offers. One is a antenna/RF start up, just the founder now, but they have already done projects, they’re paying me 25hr. The other is an MEP firm, where I’ll learn how to use auto cad to layout electrical layouts of a property. With which do you think I should go with?

As an EE major along with being active in my school’s theater program, I had to learn really really early on to not care about what an audience is thinking about me. Confidence is genuinely key though because no one will notice if you made a mistake. In my personal experience I’ve made mistakes on stage and audience members just thought it was a part of the show because I was confident in myself to recover and act like nothing happened. I’ve applied that same principle to presentations and it works every time without fail. People will only notice if you make mistake if it’s obvious.
