Yeah this is false, completely false. If you move to a different state, the new state WILL work with the other state to enforce child support. Regardless, you are still responsible for that and it will not go away. They will still take your tax refund, they will still attach your wages. They will get paid no matter what you think.

But what does this accomplish? Does that mean you can’t return back to that state of jurisdiction or they will arrest you for arrears of non payment? What does that mean for the future? Could you avoid child support garnishment in a different state forever and not return to that issuing state?
