ok i have a theory, one of the reason why Aerion became mad is bcs he always wanted to be a "dragon" (not real dragon, but like the targ before the dance) where their family is at its zenith. And in his time when there are no dragons left, i figure when he is younger he could hear people view them as "less" like that time raymun said "they are incestuos Aliens" and became angry that others could talk down on his family when he view himself and his family as closer to god
